Room 28 have been learning to estimate and measure. When doing this the children record their guess and then see how this compares to the real outcome. To make this learning experience more real for the children we set up a selection of activities involving planning, estimating and programming routes for the Bee-Bots to travel along. The children worked cooperatively in pairs and were able to accurately modify their routes to successfully get the Bee-Bot to move from the start of a course to the finish line. The process of trial and error is an important skill for the children to experience and this enables the children to develop a positive work ethic.
