Rights Respecting Schools
We are working hard to make Sunnybank a Rights Respecting School. This means we put the rights and needs of children at the heart of the school’s ethos and vision. Doing this, we believe, will help our pupils become confident, caring and responsible young people both in school and in the wider world. What is taught through the Rights Respecting Schools curriculum helps children learn respect for self, others, critical thinking skills and informed decision making.
We are very happy to announce that in December we received a UNICEF UK Recognition of Commitment to the Rights Respecting School Award!
Each class from Nursery to Primary 7 worked to make a set of rules for their class based on the CRC, we call these Class Charters and we hope you enjoy looking at all the charters displayed here.
We are now working hard to achieve our Level 1 award!
