On Thursday 19th May the pupils in Primary 7 visited St Machar Academy for a maths transition event. During the afternoon the children visited teachers in the maths department and tried out a variety of problem solving challenges. They had the opportunity to meet and work with P7 pupils from Woodside School, some of whom may be their classmates in first year.
After the event the pupils were allowed to make their own way home from St Machar Academy. This is an important step in the transition process, building up their confidence, independence and encouraging responsible behaviour when representing their school.
