Room 28: Time to make a prediction.

The children were playing with The Humpty Dumpty rhyme and we decided to build a duplo wall for Humpty to sit on. The children then decided it would be fun to have real Humpty eggs fall off their wall.

We put their hardboiled eggs in to bags. Each bag had a different filling and the children then predicted if their Humpty would crack when he fell off the wall.

The bags contained – sand, Lego, feathers, paper towel, stones, cotton wool, bears, dice, fruit and ┬ácones. The children were surprised by some of the results as they predicted the feathers would protect their Humpty Dumpty but it did not – poor Humpty was smashed.
