Young Scientists

Nursery 3 have had great fun over the past two weeks exploring, investigating and experimenting. They made raisins dance by dropping them into lemonade. By adding food colouring into water, they were able to change the colour of white tulips. They created a volcano in the playground by adding sweets into a bottle of cola. The cola exploded out of the bottle like lava out of a volcano. The boys and girls made butter by shaking a jar of double cream very hard. The cream became thicker as it was shaken until eventually the cream separated into butter and buttermilk. The butter tasted yummy on some warm toast. Some parents joined in with the experiments at our ‘Stay and Play’ session. The children enjoyed sharing the experiments they had been doing and explored some new ones.
