Maths Week

This week is Maths Week and Primary 1Ri have been very busy. The children have been learning how to recognise and write another new number. 2 is a very tricky number to write! They tried writing it in lots of different ways. They even made it with leaves and sticks outside. The children painted their hands to help make a graph of their favourite colour. They had lots of active learning opportunities to explore pattern making and sorting. During football, they were practising positional language by thinking about where the ball was. They had to use their foot to put a ball in front of, behind and to the side of their body. We used sand timer to measure 2 minutes for brushing our teeth. Maths is everywhere!
