Primary 1Ri have been very busy lately. We have been doing lots of outdoor learning and lots of fun activities inside too!
Outside, we have been using the playground floor to practise writing our key words. We especially enjoyed writing with water but we had to be quick before the letters disappeared.
We used our five senses to see what we could see, hear, smell, taste and touch in Springtime.
We were working out addition families by choosing a circle to stand in then writing the sum for the two groups. We found it a bit tricky to count the groups as people were moving about!
We have been exploring things that grow and we planted some seeds. We have been able to think about all the different parts of the plants and have labelled the parts on our pictures.
On Earth Day we looked at how we could help our planet by reducing, re-using and recycling. We looked at pieces of rubbish to see if they could be recycled. We were surprised how many things could and couldn’t be recycled.
We have been practising our throwing and catching and we did some running races to collect pieces of a puzzle that we solved as a team.
